Drop Laden Lily
by Steve Balke
There was no rain the morning that this image was captured at the Riverwood Conservancy in Mississauga in early August this year. Perhaps someone watered these flowers. However, more likely I think we are looking at early morning dew. At any rate, I was surprised to see just how laden with drops these flowers were.
I was pursuing small birds and the camera settings reflect that. I probably didn't really need a ss of /1000 s......this was a pretty slow moving lily......but the camera was hand held...and my shake frequency might be approaching that so early in the morning....
All comments most welcome.

4 commentsThose water drops sure add nicely to its inherent beauty as well.
Very good quality @ ISO 1250, Canon don't make no junk
Well done & Happy Thanksgiving

P.S.: Carol please note that I was actually shooting at f/8. That explains the slightly busy bg. I noticed the bg but I rather like it. All a matter of taste!
