Here are a couple big horn in Zion National Park a week or so ago, as they peered curiously over a rocky edge along the plateau on the east side of the park...

Canon 1DIV @ 223mm
1/1250 f/5.6 iso400

Thanks for taking a look!

Very nice! Like the angle and the position of the sheep.

Nice image. The colors, the composition and dof are good.

John, I love the expressions on their faces! I think the difference in their positions is also visually appealing. I do find the sticky brush at the bottom a little distracting, but it could be cropped or cloned out. Nice work!

Nice spacing, with just enough DoF, it appears. I like the mix of soft colors too.

The looks on their faces are too cute. Love the way they have aligned themselves. One of the more engaging pics of big horns I've seen.

Great pose on this pair John  Excellent light and nice sandstone podium. Do you know if these are the desert bighorn species or the Rocky Mountain version?

They look so comfortable as they peer down on you .Looking upwards to them ,makes for a very nice composition.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

@Ken... these are the desert big horn variety. A friend recently shared some images of some rocky mountain big horn, and they are definitely much 'beefier'. ;-)
