Last Dance of the Leaves

This comes from a small mountain stream on Chestnut ridge in the Laurel Highlands of PA just a couple of miles from where I live. The Allegheny plateau is often conducive to these types of scenes because of it's relatively level strata and I thought this was an interesting one with the new-fallen maple leaves slowly spinning around in a quiet pool.

Nice to see posts from you Robert. I was born and raised in PA and loved fall back there. Interesting treatment of this scene.

Robert, That is a wonderful swirl of fall leaves. Your shutter speed worked out really nice for the effect. I also like the detail in the moss covered rocks, especially seen in the large version! Happy Thanksgiving!

Nice comp and lighting in this. I like the contrast of the flowing swirl with the clear details of the moss covered rock and leaves.
