This is a variation of a picture of a young wild sunflower that I had posted awhile back in the flora gallery. For this shot, I placed a flashlight behind the sunflower to get some backlighting.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/10 for 1/3 sec. ISO 200. Tripod mounted. Flashlight assited lighting.

Beautiful image, not at all the usual sunflower image. I love the curve of the stem.

The flashlight does a great job of providing a gentle backlight that allows you to hold all of the detail. Excellent picture.

Very clever! This is a beautiful shot. The back-lighting makes for a really nice effect. And the subject is wonderful!
