Sunrise + repost

This is the last of my images from Mike Moats' Macro Bootcamp. You might need your sunglasses for this one. :) I tried to make the colors manageable while still maintaining the brightness. I used Topaz and Nik filters. I know this one is definitely a matter of taste.

Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I like the comp and colors. Your processing created a nice effect.

Barbara, I really like the colors and textures you have created. I'm wondering if you would please indulge me and repost the image with some of the left side cropped off (cutting off the bright orange in the center of the flower). I'm not sure if this would be a better comp or not, but I would like to find out. Thanks.

Thanks, Barb and Carol.

Carol, I'm not sure exactly what you had in mind, but is this what you were thinking of?

Dramatically colorful. I could see this hanging near the breakfast area. Makes me think of sunrise and from that point of view, I think the repost works even better.

Yes Barb, that's exactly what I had in mind. I like the repost better myself, but what really matters is what you like best. I like Mark's idea of hanging this image in a breakfast area. What a sunny way to start the day!

Very cheerful image, Barbara. Good processing control to accent these bright colors without blowing them out. I really like the repost!
