Interesting colour palette with the ochre in the water and under the bird :toast:

The background makes this very dramatic.

This is an amazing flight shot. What interests me is that the color and detail in the bird makes it look like an illustration. Seems a bit incongruous for a "dreary day" although that bg sure is a moody contrast to the look of the bird. A thought-provoking image and quite unique.

A very unusual great blue heron photo, but an interesting and beautiful photo. Great Photo Sandy!!!

Sandy, did the beautiful light on the bird come from the original image or from the processing? Either way, it surely is beautiful lighting, and those are beautiful colors.

I agree, the color and patterns in the water are fantastic. That makes a great setting for the heron, which is sharp and detailed.

There was a bit of light left at this sunset shot, but the water was already quite dark from the dark clouds above. I brightened the bird a tiny bit and selectively sharpened it, but the water colour is true.

Nice light on this Sandy, great colors too. I would remove the tiny spot on lower left side, might be dust spot? or water glow thingy
