As winter approaches, the flow in some streams is reduced to a trickle but moss and lichens florish. Taken at sunrise, fill light added in lightroom. Thanks for looking, suggestions welcomed.

I'm a sucker for 'psychedelic' images, so this is an easy sell for me!
Now, im gonna be super picky here, because this is such a cool abstract but i think with some work this could be prize-winning material. The problem i see is that my expectations were high with the thumb, but the graphical appeal gets lost the bigger you go here--i actually think the smaller version here looks much better than the large one--the large version has a kind of 'hazy/noisy' look to it that isnt as bad in the smaller version. Not sure how to correct this, and it could just be that 300mm wasnt sharp enough, but i have a couple suggestions: id crop from the bottom a bit so the triangles on either side of the diagonal are equal size. Id also play with the color balance here--the blue end of the spectrum looks like its a bit 'neon' so maybe desaturate the blues/magenta a bit and maybe darken the same a bit--i think the warmer colors need to be the attraction here. Just some thoughts
EDIT: ooh, and maybe the fill light has something to do with the noisy look...

This is a way cool abstract, Nancy. I really love the arrangement of wild color in this intimate scene. I am not sure if it is the web presentation or just a little OOF, but it looks just a bit soft to me.

Far Out!
This is a ver cool image. I might make that dark spot along the LL edge go away but other than that it totally rocks!
Now, I rarely disagree with Stan because it's well known how sensitive he can be. But I think the larger version is a must see. It has a lot more impact IMO.
Great shot Nancy.

Nancy Lea,

Wild, wild, wild. You continue to amaze and insprire with your water images.

Did you gain anything? I'm not sure what you mean, but if you're asking if the repost is an improvement, I would say it is, at least to me. You took care of the bright white area I was going to comment on and it also appears to have the saturation cut back a little. I also like the slighty tighter composition. The repost is an improvement in a number of areas.

Fascinating stuff Nancy Lea,

Lon

Amazing! I always thought these type of neon colors are not 'natural'...
