This is significantly altered, especially luminosity, in NIK Color Efex Pro 4. Though it may be able to pass this off as natural I'm posting in photo art.

From an artistic standpoint I really like this Charlie. The colors are awesome and the detail in the larger version is very good. A very pretty image.

Lovely shot Charlie. I like how you isolated the 2 leaves in your comp. Nice details, color, and I like the leathery look of the leaves. The highlights seem a bit bright, but this may be my monitor - even though it is calibrated it tends to be too bright (I haven't invested in a high quality screen).

Thanks for comments and critiques. And Steve I agree the highlights are bright and for a critique it is perfectly valid that you feel so.

As photo art this is as I want it. and should be judged as my artistic choice. It was brightened to this degree because I liked the very distinct shadow of the upper leaf on the lower one.

Dramatic treatment of these leaves, Charlie, and a striking result.

Lovely set of leaves, Charlie. I like the range of dark reds and especially the leathery textures. It could easily pass as natural.
