This tree has been waiting for years for some experimental technique.

I finally settled on inverting the image and then, I converted it to Black and White. I hope you like the effect.

I was totally fascinated by this tree, found somewhere on the Western slope as I took a dirt short-cut from a state park to route 70. I could probably never find it again

All I can remember is that the weather was really threatening but I was focused on the tree.

You've managed to make the tree more threatening than the sky. Great effect, it really shows off the structure of the tree. This could be the cover shot of a book that begins, "It was a dark and stormy night...".

Love the look of this Carol, nice. It sort of reminds one of a film negative
The tree looks almost silver-like..I especially like the sharp contrast to the darkly clouded dramatic BG.

I love it Carol! I agree with the comment about it being dramatic! It just looks like something out of a Tim Burton movie.
