Olympus E-5, 300mmx2.0TC, handheld
f10, 1/1000, ISO200

My first serious effort at flight shots, up on Windy Ridge this past summer. The E-5 isn't particularly fast-focusing with the 2X teleconverter on, and the bird wasn't close enough to shoot with the 300mm alone. My admiration for the superb flight shots posted here ratcheted up even higher.

60% of full frame. Selective sharpening to bird.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

Good color and exposure Jim, I like the split BG showing the faint ridge line there.
A bit soft, but still a pleasing image overall.
In-flights R tough :wavey:

Keep it up Jim. It just takes practice. Like the comp. A bit soft, but that 2X probably had a lot to do with that.
