Nice fall shot, Shirley. I like the red leaf against the black and white background; it shows up the colors and frosty edges nicely. Possibly some more blurring or minimizing of the black/white contrast would have been helpful so the background isn't quite so eye-catching.

Beautiful shot--love the contrast of color against B&W BG! I agree the BG would be less distracting if the contrast or light spots were toned down.

Beautiful shot. I love the contrast of the frost around the edges of the leaf. I think I would have tried to blur the background a bit more, just enough to give a hint of it-
