White-tailed Kite

This is from a series I shot back in October which I had posted this Kite approaching a landing on top of a tree. When I was going through my images I felt I missed choosing this one to post before. I like the light, the transparent wings and the pose of the Kite and I think it is sharp enough to post.

Comments and Critiques are always appreciated.

A nice image Harry. I am a bit torn about the lighting for my taste, but that is just me. We all have different tastes in images and I am sure many people will love this. Nice sharpness overall.

I think the lights interesting and "edgy", adds some drama IMO.
Good details and POV of the head/eye, it's well lit - nice catch-light too.
Well done Harry & Merry Christmas!

The light works for me and makes for a dramatic image.

Looks plenty sharp to me, Skip. I like the lighting in this one a lot. Glad you resurrected it.

Hey Skip,
I agree with others about the lighting being edgy. Very neat stuff. Good overall sharpness. I might crop slightly off both the left side and the top. Very tough bird to get proper lighting on. Either burnt out whites or under exposed. Good job with this one Skip. Have not been out much lately but hopefully that will change. Hope to see you around. :toast:

I like all the things you like, and I think this is so graceful. Definitely sharp to me.

Personally I like the lighting here - especially on the face and eye. Interesting pose, good sharpness and exposure.

Skip,
Great shot. I like the translucense in the left wing and tail feathers.
