White-faced Ibises

Another image from my recent trip to Utah. These Ibises, a mature and an immature, were found at the Farmington Bay WMA and were hanging around very late into the winter. They are considered a rarity at this locale for this time of the year, and were also Life Birds for me as well.

Shot from Ron Dudley's pickup.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful composition, Chuck. I like the dof and the iridescent plumage really came out nicely.

I agree with Dennis on all points. The soft lighting really enhanced both the iridescent and non-iridescent colors.

Very interesting to see the color difference between the two on the larger image and I like the iridescent colors as well, nice job in getting this, way to go.

Nice comparison. Good find for the place and time.

Excellent look at the relatively subtle differences between juvie and adult. I like the almost identical poses, the natural setting and sharpness looks good. So glad you got so many lifers on this trip.

Love the composition, and the twin birds in unison. Nice work on this.
