This has the makings of a neat abstract image. The combination and layout of the shapes and textures is appealing. The white areas in the image appear to be blown out, at least they do on my monitor. Also, there is a fair amount of reflection which perhaps has robbed the image of some color. Perhaps better light or a polarizer would help.

There are very nice elements in this image, but for my eye, there are too many of them. I think if you cropped it to just the colored rock in the center and lower third of the image with just a little seaweed on the edges, it would be quite nice.

I like the crop suggested by Dan. That's the part where the focus is and it really has some nice colors and shapes. Neat abstract

Love the abstract quality. Would maybe add a little more saturation to enhance this effect.

Thanks all for the perceptive comments. Yes I agree the crop to highlight those 4 stones is the ticket. I like the stones in upper left hand corner as well so I'm trying to crop to the central 4 with just a touch of those on the left.
And you're right Tom about the couple of blown highlights. I may be able to clone them out.

Lucy,
The more I've looked at this the more it has grown on me. I couldn't put my finger on it at first, but this has a 3-D look to it between the seaweed(?) and rock? below - giving this some perceived depth. I do agree with others about a crop, but certainly as presented there is much to explore, even in this little space. I do think a larger view might have been better received too.
Looks like a great place to explore!
