Willet in the Fog

This morning was my first shoot in December for shore birds. Either the wind, the cold or the tides have conspired against me until this morning. Initially the fog was really dense, so I waited a while before going out. This is a strong crop of a horizontal, 40% of original. I liked the subtle colors that the foggy conditions provided. Worked on color balance and sat in CS4. Larger image included.

Wishing everyone a prosperous New Year and good light for 2012.

I really like the subtle tones and the reflection, here...in the larger version, there appears to be just a bit of noise in the reflection. Otherwise, wonderful shot!
