Sunrise over the Cranberry Isles, Maine

I really hesitated to post this image here as it is such a simple image compared to most posted in this forum. But in the end I decided that hopefully even a simple landscape photo can be beautiful.

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

It is beautiful, Carol. You captured a wonderful feel...and a great sunrise too! This would be nice without the gull, but with it this turns in to something special! Really nice!

Maine is my second home Carol, a little further south from here but the Maine coast is just a special place for me seldom seen on this fourm. The silhouette is definitely Maine with a beautiful red glow. I think the gull adds to this beautiful scene.

Carol,
Seems to me this is an image that has a lot (of good things) going on...
Simple is relative...
you have a very beautiful image that has multiple layers of color and texture...
I like it a lot
Nicely done

Carol,

Simple is almost always a good thing - and certainly with this image. A beautiful sunrise - that glow on the horizon is pretty special. The gull, well, an excellent addition to the scene. I think this would work with or without the bird. Simple, yes. Beautiful too.
