Was out shooting last Tuesday at Sweetwater & caught this coot swimming by. I really like the yellows in the water. Comments & critiques welcome.

Lovely water - I always like how the ripples pick up a variety of colors. The coot is oversharpened as presented.

Great exposure on the blacks without blowing out the white beak -- water looks great and you got the red eye -- good job

The water colors are wonderful and you did a good job not blowing out the bill. I'd back off on the sharpening a bit.

A wonderful composition and at times you can get some really intersting and colorful relfections at Sweetwater. These coots can be a really tricky bird to photograph and I see from you specs that you did not use any exposure compensation so nice job in handling the coot contrasts (as I call them). Agree about the sharpening, good eye to see this.
