Meadow flowers

by Carolyn Derstine

Gallery: FloraPosted January 8, 2012143 views13 comments
These brown-eyed susans were blooming in a local meadow among lots of other vegetation. If you look closely you will see a visiting insect on the left flower.

Panasonic DMC-FZ28. 42mm at F/5.6 for 1/250 sec. ISO 100.

C&C welcomed.

Your shot gives a very fresh feel of being in the meadow. Fantastic. :wavey:

Really nice. Great depth of field for f/5.6. Most of the flowers are pretty sharp with a nice blurred BG. :toast:

Carolyn: This is really well done. I like the subjects and how you have placed them in the frame. Really good DOF management and I kind of like the party crasher. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

Tastefully done, Carolyn  - nice bright yellows and I like how the fronds in the background mirror the radiant petals. Party crasher is a bonus :wavey:

Carolyn, a hitchhiker along the way is always welcome to any image. Great depth of field and tack sharp on the flowers. Very nice.

Great DOF choice Carolyn. This sets off a well captured subject nicely.

Ah yes, dreams of summer. The flowers and the background are really radiant and just sing of early summer.

Absolutely beautiful in every way -- composition, colors, POV, sharpness and clarity, soft background.

Lovely relationship between the two flowers, Carolyn, and fine rendering of the centres and the petals.

A beautiful capture Carolyn. I love the little intruder as it adds another element to the image. It would be nice to see the BG a little softer , but over all lovely composition and DOF choices, really well done ! Cheers :wavey:

Carolyn, I love the harmony of the two colors and the naturalism of the image.
Take care.
