Koke'e Silhouette

Sunset on Highway 550 in Koke'e State Park on the island of Kaua'i in Hawai'i.

The heavy rain that had marked the hike along the edge of Waimea Canyon stopped and the clouds began breaking up as we drove back towards the coast. The last light shot out from the setting sun hitting the haze and clouds created these incredible colours. The glow on the road was shot out from the setting sun to silhouette the trees lining the highway.

Very dramatic silhouette. The clouds and color are excellent. It's very minor but the top 1/2 or so seems just a bit dark to me and if this were mine, I might brighten it with a gradient.

Gorgeous light you captured here Chris. The tree makes an interesting Silhouette, and I think a vertical version of this would work very well.

Beautiful silhouette image with great colors. My one and only suggestion would be to crop either down or from the right far enough to get rid of the blue corner. For some reason, it really grabs my eyes and keeps pulling them up there, rather than staying focused on the silhouette which is obviously your focal point.

Wow, intense light and color. It almost looks like a forest fire. Works well with the silhouettes too.
