Cypress Stand

From Lake Martin last weekend. Lately it has been fairly mild down here, and although the cypress have lost their foliage, there was a fair bit of greenery to be found in the swamp. The bottom was rather messy so I cropped it out.

Nice separation of these trees to the background. Wonderful light and textures. :toast:

I like the light on this impressive stand of trees. Personally, I'd crop the very top to eliminate some or most of the sky in the ULC.

Beautiful job on these wonderful trees. I like your chosen composition with the bit of green in the fg.

Nice light and excellent fine details here. I agree about the light upper left corner, but I don't like what hapens to the frame when you cut it off. I think I'd just leave it as is.

Pretty lighting there, Bill. I'd be mighty tempted to crop that upper left corner of sky as to focus the eye on the light and trunks a little more. I like the green grasses as a nice contrast.

Nice light and interesting trees. I am with Chris. While the bright ULC is not ideal, I don't like the comp as much cropped.

Love the light and texture on the trunks, I think I might favor a little crop off the top too - very nice work!

Appreciate the input, gang. Will have to go with the majority and try some different crops from top and left. Thanks again.

This is absolutely gorgeous, Bill. The warm highlights and the graphic trunks go together perfectly. Glad I didn't miss this one.
