Last year we have been on a trip to Madagascar. What an amazing Island that is! In every new piece of nature you encounter different species of animals. One of the reasons to re-visit Madagascar was four us to hear the Indri singing. That sound is so beautiful! The animal itself is absolutely adorable to see, ts the biggest lemur species, with thick fur and round fluffy ears. They are not too difficult to approach, however most of the times they are high in the trees. This one was eating some leaves a bit lower, so we had a nice viewpoint.

My guess is that the lighting coupled with the angle you were shooting from created a difficult situation, which you handled very well! I do wish its' head was more towards the camera. Thanks for sharing.

Composition is good. The oof branch on the right is distracting and the fur of the animal needs some more contrast it appears.

Thanks to your post, i searched for videos online for "indri singing". WoW they do sound sweet and piercing. A nice shot in difficult lighting.

I remember being face-to face with these relaxed creatures at only a few meters, awesome that was and indeed their sounds echoing through the forests is unforgettable. Thanks for bringing back some great memories! It is always extremely challenging to shoot lemurs up in the trees, against the bright light that pierces through the canopy of a dark forest. Here the highlights were inevitable, but at least they are not overpowering. You have good detail in the black, but on my screen they look a little washed out and could use some tweaking. Looking forward to more from your Mada trip, particularly those lizards you mentioned  .
