Tarts to Go

This is a roadside find. Taken at the outflow of a culvert under the road. The river turned 90 degrees to the right at the outflow. An eddy was created on the far side and these "tarts" would just circle around in continous motion. None of them flowing down the river. Never seen such well formed discs before.

Cool and unusual image. It almost looks like something I would expect to see under a microscope. Fascinating "tarts".

Neat find! B&w works really well here. I also like the diagonal flow of the ice disks across the frame.

Even after reading your description I don't know what I'm looking at, but that's why I like it so much. Nicely done and gets you thinking.

Cool! Even without the explanation I'd like this one. Nice strong B&W processing and the shapes are totally engaging.
