A polar conversion.

Feel free to see anything you wish in this image. I hope you let your imagination run away with you.

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy the viewing as much as I enjoyed the processing.

Happy New Year to all.

Carol

Wow! Amazing, Carol. I love the colors and lighting you ended up with here, not to mention the entire look of the image itself. Just beautiful.

Very interesting and creative processing. Wouldn't have thought from where you started you'd get the posted image. Never tried one of these polar conversions but it seems you could get lost for hours of fun working them.
First to mind in looking at the image is through a window of a blast furnace to the flame.

Great effect. Real cool feel to this image. Have not used polar coordinates in a while...

Beautiful conversion, framed perfectly as well. Flipped vertically you get heart shapes, but then the light/dark gradient would feel off. Well done, Carol.

Carol, I love seeing the before and after images. The after image is stunning as it draws you into it which is what a photograph should do. Thanks for sharing this creativity with us.
