Art In The Ice

I have not yet posted in this gallery but I had so much fun shooting ice close-ups last week that I wanted to share some of the images. Shot with my 7D, 100mm macro lens, ISO 400, f/2.8, SS 250. I played with the white balance in PP,curves, and sharpened.

Nick, very well seen and captured. I don't think I've ever seen such interesting lines in ice before. Nice job.

Neat details here and I like the colors.... the placement of the rock (?) near the bottom of the frame seems a little awkward. A bit higher in the frame probably would have been a little nicer. Neat one though.

I thought it was a leaf when I saw the thumbnail. Very nice composition. The rock (?) in the lower left does seem to need to move more to the left. I think it would have been a stronger composition if you shot a little more to the right, moving the image to the left. That's just a nit suggestion. Overall a very nice photo.

cool patterns and lines Nick! I like the blue tones too....gives a nice sense of cold.
