I'm hoping I'm able to see more eagles in the weeks ahead as February is usually a prime time to observe them here in northern Utah. This is was one of my favorites from last February...

Fantastic. Great pose, excellent sharpness and perfect exposure throughout. A difficult bird to photograph-done expertly.

Beautifully sharp and well composed. Excellent timing. I like the the smooth surface of the feathers and their subtle color range. Hopefully, February 2012 will also be an excellent time for your eagle photography.

A great flight position. Love the talons. High-keyish BGs are not usually my favorite, but this works. I does kind of hide the birds tail feathers, but the larger image shows everything well.

Dynamic flight posture and good light on the entire bird which isn't easy to do with this species but in my experience the ice/snow out there really help with that. The head stands out well against the dark wing - a fortunate situation given the background. I think f/4.5 served you well here - on both bird and background. Well done.

Excellent shot, I really like the wing spread and that you can see the eagle's white head against the darker wings. I am also one that is not all that fond of white backgrounds but this works very well to give the image a winter scene, well done, the larger image looks great.

Great shot! I like the fanned out wings and those talons. The head shows well against the dark wings.
