Corny title aside, a shot of the Narrows from a location most will stop at in the Zion Narrows. I noticed how different the comps. and lighting can be during different times of year and flow conditions from nearly the same spot. Ian's is my most recent memory from here.

Single exposure, polarizing filter, f16, ISO 200
5DII, 17-40L.

Nicely done Harry. I really like the shadow detail in this; you handled the DR very well. No nits at all.

I really enjoy the long diagonal of the river. It's a challenging comp. that works very well.

Love how it leads strongly from left to right, cool to warm. Also love the foreground stone in the water anchoring it. Great job Harry.

Very nice! As far as I know, this looks like a unique comp of this area. Great colors, water motion, etc. TFS!

Harry, beautiful light. I like the foreground water and rock, your composition flows right into the scene. You have had some beautiful images from the Narrows this year.

Sure is some beautiful light there Harry. Wonderful glow and flow! I like your not-so-typical comp with my eye being led to the far right where the warm light is.

This is a beautiful shot, Harry. The light here is fantastic!..as is your comp. Love the colors and the looks of the water. I especially like how you included that foreground rock in your comp. Beautiful work!

I like the strong water lines here leading to the light, nicely done, Harry.

Very nice, Harry. I like how my eyes zig-zag across the frame following first the water and then doing a hard right to the glowing rocks. The balance of light here makes this easy to do and enjoy.

Very enjoyable, but this is probably not my favorite from your series (which has been great, btw).

The composition has great eyeflow. Mine start in the foregound water and follow the channel to the glowing wall in the backgound. The dark upper left probably aids this eyeflow, and I like the foreground rock in the river. No nits on processing. To me, since my eyes are lead there, the back right with the glowing wall and pool seems a little cut off on the right edge; wishing to see about the width of the black border.

Doug - The reason the right seems a bit cut off is that sunlight was reaching the far walls on the right which made it too hot, so the composition was driven by the strong lighting which helped illuminate the left side but limited me on the right.
