One of the best top shots of this moth I've ever seen Fabio, excellent comp and beautiful colors.
Attractive complimentary BG with great contrasting colors..Just the right amount of sharpness and detail too.

A very beautiful capture. The background could not be more beautiful and complementary. I still like the double capture version version you posted last year a little better, but this is certainly outstanding. :toast:

Oh, this is a beauty, Fabio! Very beautiful moth with a great complimentary background and fantastic details! I like the way the moth is vertically straight but the stem is slightly angled; makes a nice comp.

Hi- Thanks for nice feedbacks- to Daniel & Loana: actually D. nerii is present in the warmest part of Italy, and somewhere it's a sedentary species, but i think is getting rarer now- As I had written on my comment of the first shot of the series, this is a bred specimen- Surely Daphnis nerii is one of the most striking species of the moth family- Thanks again and greetings, Fabio

Fabio - The background is so important to this kind of image, and yours perfectly compliments the subject. Though I haven't check out any of your other images of the moth, I bet some differrent angles would be pretty cool with selective focus. Not sure if you would be able to keep that fantastic BG. :toast:

Congratulations of photo of the month. You deserve it. A beautiful subject helps, but you had the heart to compose it, the skill to record it, and the patience to present it.
