Two adult elephants (Loxodonta africana) interacting at Hapoor Dam in Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa, arguably one of the best places in Africa for elephant photography. This is a full frame capture.

EOS 5D MKII - 600mm - 1/800 sec @ f6.3 - ISO 400

Lovely composition! Now, how about a larger photo?

It would be nice to view this larger to better assess detail and appreciate texture, but I quite like your choice of composition and think it makes for a compelling capture.

An interesting composition, nicely captured !
I too miss the larger version, however, my personal choice would have been bit wider.

It seems that with elephants there's always potential for all sorts of interesting shapes and patterns when one shoots/crops "tight" like this... but I've found that it's very difficult to actually get something that really works well. This one works, between the long line created by the heads pressed together and the crossed tusks, you managed to get one of those appealing patterns to emerge. The narrow crop is different but certainly seems necessary for this one. Nice job.
