There's a place I have found where mortal words have no meaning.
There's a desert I have seen where just a glance unfolds the secrets of this life. And all that went before it.
There's a mountain I have climbed which is a shining pathway to that distant fiery orb. And all its light and heat merge into the passion in your eyes.
There's a river I have crossed whose ancient rhythm sways you into dreams that last forever. And every awakening is the beginning of another dream.
There's a temple in a faraway land in which the gods are not seen. Nor heard.
And I have worshipped the thought of you.

Prayers from prayer flags are carried in the wind...this was an attempt to portray that by retaining enough clarity to see the prayers, while also the movement of the flags in the wind, and the inspiring scale of the place.

A single RAW image processed at two exposures and hand-blended.

Outstanding!!! I think you really captured the mood and feeling you were going for and I'd imagine is was extremely challenging. This works so well and the mood is just fantastic!

Unbelievable. I'm a Buddhist, and have seen many places with, and pictures of, prayer flags. I've never seen anything like this. This captures the ethereal spirituality of the flags. Just like being there. Where in the world was this taken? (I think I need to go!)

Remarkable and memorable image. Your blending of the two exposures works well IMHO. :toast:

This is a bit of a mind bender at first glance but there is so much to explore after settling in.

You definitely achieved your goal. Excellent sense of the mystical and even surreal. Really well conceived and done.
