Dallman 4

This is a shot I've had in mind for a while. Conditions looked favorable a few weeks ago for nice color and calm winds so I stopped by a local park with a good vantage point of the plant.

In 2009, CWLP assumed operating control of Dallman 4—the utility's newest electric generating station. Dallman 4, a 200-MW pulverized coal power plant, is one of the cleanest coal-fired generating units in the nation.

The oldest unit Dallman 1 (on the far right) is scheduled to be demolished this spring.

Pentax K-7, DA* 16-50

Thanks for looking,
Derek

I gnerally don't like central horizons but in this case because of your comp......I think it works. I particularly like the sunburst effect on the lights and the smoke and stem from the stacks looks good too.

Wonderful job making an industrial scene look so good.... nice lighting effects and the mix of sky, water, and plant is great.
