This is a shot from Charles Town racetrack in West Virginia from a few years ago. It's a panning shot, obviously, but as the horses are moving multiple directions, nothing it really moving with the camera. So many, many shots come out completely blurred. In this one, the "sharp" parts are still a bit fuzzed from motion.

I've always really liked it, but I've been curious if others do too.

Thanks for looking!

I like this, David. You've achieved the sense of motion. I can hear the hoofbeats
of the horses.

You've captured all the excitement and suspense of horse racing, David. Speed, power, jockeys precariously balanced on tiptoe. Go, NINE!!!

Hi David. I love to go night racing at Happy Valley in Hong Kong on my visits there. This photo reminds me of those evenings

The rider no 9 and the head of his horse are just sharp enough to take the eye and of course the colors are excellent. I also like the movement of the the leg bandages

Great use of SS to keep just enough sharp and still convey the motion!
