This image inside Fort Pike was pre-Katrina. The structure was built in 1818, and remained in commission until 1890.

Wow, what a great spot. I love the detailed pattern in the foreground leading into the series of arches. The beat up brick roof is nice, too. Real cool!

This is really cool. You placed the curving line perfectly. If you could get them to let you in after dark, you light this up and recreate an image with a Brassai look to it. Great as shot!

Really like the framing and processing. Love the cracked wall above the door...might have made me feel just a little uneasy standing there! :toast:

Beautiful lines and detail. You might consider burning down the hot spot on the right. You did a nice job of working the tones to bring out the textures. :toast:

This is really nice. The composition is fantastic and I can't help but admire the cleverness behind its design. I also love the tonal range in this image. :toast:

I like this compositon with the DOF well handled. The FG shapes and the swerving
concrete line is another plus for the compositon that leads the viewers back to the
arches. The fractured/cracked walls add to the feeling of history and agedness. This
site is worth preserving.
