I would love to see your shooting info here Dennis? SS, aperture, ISO? It looks like you shot using panning, and the head/rack looks quite sharp but hard to tell at this size - perhaps if you posted a bigger version we could really enjoy and properly critique this one?

I would remove some of the magenta tones on the foliage...

Nice shot of this bull elk. I also would like to see your techs for this image. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dennis and welcome to NPN :wavey: I like how you have managed to get the bull in sharp focus and in a strong proud stance here. Thiswould have been even better if there would have been a bit more BG separation as the bushes in the BG give this a busy look. Further I echo the comments made about the magenta toning. This is probably easiest to correct by reverting to the RAW file and change the WB when processing. It is indeed helpful for others that comment on your work to have some more technical info about the image such as SS, Aperture, ISO, FL etc. I hope to see more of your contributions to this gallery in the form of images as well as comments on other peoples work.

I changed the white balance from sunlight to shade on this photo. It WAS shot in the shade. It looks warmer now. My ISO is 450, SS 1/60, F 5.6, at 250mm with my 70-300 Nikon VR zoom. Click the "Purchase Print" to see a larger version. Thanks.

This is a super specimen of bull elk! I like the pose you captured. I also agree with the tweaks suggested.
