I suppose since I'm an official moderator, I should post a photo here every now & then.

I find I tend to like simple compositions, and for me it doesn't get much simpler than shooting at night. I mean, if I don't want "clutter" to appear in my photo, I just don't allow light to hit it, right? For this shot I used my 1937 Voigtlander Bessa and Ilford HP5+ film. It was lit with one SB-28 connected to a CyberSync trigger. I know you historical camera buffs are saying, "Wait a minute. A 1937 Bessa didn't have flash sync!" And you are correct. I stopped the lens down, opened the shutter on "bulb", fired the flash, then closed the shutter again. I liked the simple lines of the pipe, and I knew the flash would make the icicles seem to glow. This is one of my favorite images from the Bessa. Mostly, I love the play of light & shadow, and the simplicity.

The pipe is light blue, and about three ft. high. It's part of a sewage line ventilation system.
