Thanks to everyone for your comments on my last two images from this location, I appreciate your feedback! This shot did not showcase the colour of the ice very well so I opted for a black and white presentation which seems to work much better for this one. I know some people are going to wish for more detail in the dark hills... but to be honest there really was no detail there and the levels reflect that. I will attach a screen shot of the levels for your reference. Thanks for looking!

Outstanding! You might also try cropping the bottom 20% of the image. This brings more impact to the mountain. Wonderful image!

I love the leading lines in here and the way the light shows throughout the foreground. Well done.

Another great shot Wayne! The wind must have been blowing pretty strong. I'm not concerned with the details in the mountains, they play such a small part of this shot. :toast:

This is really nice, but I prefer the cold of the first post.

Nice strong comp Wayne, the lines in the foreground look great and the shot really suits your mono conversion.

Sweet! I don't need no stinkin' detail in the dark hills. Beautiful, with a great sense of mystery and intrigue.

That's a beauty, Wayne. I would be tempted to crop just a tiny bit off the left for better symmetry but this works nicely as presented. Did you happen to get any tighter comps with just the center peaks? :toast:

Love the shot, very powerful. My only concern is the dark hill on the left. I don't need detail on it, but it is such a large dark spot that it attracts my eye.

Another sweet shot from Abraham Wayne. Although natural, I am distracted by the bright highlight of the sun reflection on the ice, as it competes with and almost overpowers the actual sun breaking in the clouds. I think either burning down that spot in the reflection or even cloning altogether would give this a better uninterrupted flow for the eye to follow. The shadows in the hills doesn't bother me.

Wayne, this is an excellent BW conversion. The graphic snow plumes are dramatic and the sun is perfectly exposed against the glowering clouds. I like the slight vignette and the overall mood...much better than the color version. Well done!

If this did not have a Marc A influence I would be utterly surprised. At thumbnail, I thought it was his. Killer shot BTW. Very dramatic and wonderful use of line. :toast:
