Iced T

The partially frozen Tuolumne River taken just before Tioga Pass closed last month in Yosemite. The composition is a little busier than I typically like but it was the most appealing foreground I was able to find.

elegant image - i like the palette and the comp - if you were to drag a small nit out of me, it'd be the wish for a little more separation between the large boulder and the BG hills ... the FG is particularly compelling.

The warm color and nice lead in of the rocks and reflection give this a very peaceful feel.

Works fine for me - love the colours, ice, and perspective.

Beautiful image in spite of the "busy" FG--love the soft, almost pastel colors!

Nice color and overall a very appealing scene. From the angle of the trees, there appears to be a little lens distortion, but no big deal. I wanted to get up there before the road closed and get to some of the frozen lakes, but I never made it. Looks like you had some nice conditions.

I guess one could say the fg is a bit busy, but to me, I don't mind it at all. I feel this image shows off the place really well. The reflected light really adds to this. TFS!

Robb I love the foreground with the different textures in the pebbles, snow and wonderful reflections and the colors are beautiful! I agree a bit with Stuart about the large boulder, but I'm sure it was a choice between stepping out into the frozen river or moving the boulder , so I'm sure you chose the best vantage point. Nice work! Blessings, Deb
