1st, I want to say that I love this new gallery. I love nature photography but I also love urban exploration. So I think this a great gallery to share some of those images in, along with enjoying everyonelses photos too.

This image is from a huge abandoned mental hospital property right down the road from my house. Some of you might have heard of it before. It was featured on Ghost Hunters once.
The Norwich State Hospital. Unfotunately there has been a lot of construction there lately and most buildings have been sealed up tight and the tunnel system that connected them all has been collapsed and blocked. So future visits aren't looking good. :frown:

Thanks for looking C&C appreciated

I've always wanted to do urban exploration, but I think I'm a little chicken to actually follow it through. Your photo gives the viewer a lot to look at and ponder and I like it for that reason.

Very moving, Jonathan. I like the colors and textures, plus the brick wall
in the BG adds an abstract component. The L shape composition works
well for me. I wish that you could get permission to photograph in and
around the buildings more.

Thanks for the comments.

Christina I was very nervous the 1st time I went, trust me. Once I got in and over came my fear and got some killer shots, I couldn't get enough. Every time I see an abandoned building now all I can think about is how cool it must look inside.

Nice little scene. I like the weathered look of the walls and chair. I am curious if you used HDR? The colors have a bit of the "HDR" intensity look.

No Harley it is not HDR. Maybe just a tad bit heavy on the saturation.

I really like the perspective in the image, also the colors and textures work really well together. Fine image.

I just love the colors in this, don't mind the heavy Sat at all, good angle, very well seen. Excellent!

Incredible. The interplay of blues, reds, and the yellows is amazing and coupled with your composition and the wonderful textures, make this a stunning image in my opinion. Hope you can still visit this place in the future.
