Wishing you all the nicest things.

Lesser Scaup (Aythya affinis) pair photographed on the shores of a local lake. They sat there for the longest time gazing at each other.

Canon 7D, Sigma 150-500 at 500 mm, ISO 800, 1/250 sec at f/11, large RAW cropped to 50 %, PP in LR3.

All C & Cs are welcome. Roger.

A very touching shot, Roger. The pose of each duck and the lovely eye-to-eye contact are really outstanding. My impression is that you would do well to experiment with post processing more to see if you could bring out additional detail and color. I'd like to see these ducks "pop" a little more and take attention from the rock on the rhs.

Roger,
The look that these two ducks are giving to one another is priceless. Particularly the male. He looks chagrined. You might try to lighten both the birds but leave everything else alone. Might help bring more colors out and it looks to me that both birds could use more exposure as the others have noted. Perfect Valentines Day post Roger.

A little more space to the left would be nice too. Still a great shot.

I have tried to give the ducks more pop and have used CS5 (layers and masks) for this. Here is what I got out of it. I think it looks better. Excellent suggestion to work on it. Thanks. Roger
