Not sure if I call this an abstract. This is first rose of this season in my garden. More to come :)

EXIF - f/8. 1/125, ISO 200, Sigma 150/2.8, Manual Exposure, Custom WB

I am looking forward to C&C

Srini: This one is not working all that well for me. I very much like the drops and think I would crop this aggressively to a pano to emphasize them. The sharp petal edge in the LRC tends to pull my eye away from the drops and really doesn't interest me much.>=))>

Srini:
I like the drops and they are sharp and crystal like. However there is not very much else going on to keep the viewer interested.

Nice color and those water drops are excellent Srini. Honestly for me, this is not working overall though. I think having that one shape mainly horizontal in the top third of the shot just does not feel 'right'.

Srini, Good Try - we have to start somewhere and begin to learn from our mistakes. Horizontal alignment of the subject usually makes for a static composition so I almost always look for more dynamic compositions like diagonals. It might not be possible in all situations but worth a try.

I like the color and sharpness here.

Lots of great feed back Srini to help you have further success in the future from all . I 'll just add that maybe keeping the drops down to one or three would have helped simplify the subject as well as with so many drops it can make the image a little busy, Lovey first try. I look forward to seeing your next post. :wavey:
