While shooting the flower with butterflies and bees pollinating I took this grab shot as the butterfly took off. The backlight and slight blur from the 1/100 sec exposure worked this shot into what I consider art. Art is in the eye of the beholder so you be the judge.
C&C welcomed~
Sony a100, Minolta f 3.5-5.6 80-300 zoom with exposure f11 at 1/100 sec with ISO 200.
Raw processed in Camera Raw 6.4 then exposure adjusted down ~1 stop and sharpened and slight noise reduction and cropped about 33% to square in CS5.

Keep on Shooting

For me, too, this is extremely artistic, and is beautiful. I love the light, the colors and the blur.

Looks great to me. I love the color and blur of the butterfly and how they contrast with the sharp flower. Have you thought about making the streaks from the butterfly's antennae tips go away? That might or might not be a subtle improvement.

the flower and the butterfly are great. I find the light spots on the Right disconcerting.
