A Northern Shoveler shot at the refuge yesterday under heavy fog, low light conditions. While the lighting wasn't great the water was like glass.

Larger version available, thanks for stopping!

Although it is taken under difficult circumstances I must say the result is very good. Nice work!

Great shot. Love the mirror like water and the drop of water from the bill.

Still one of my favorite ducks - lovely portrait, especially under the conditions.
Perfect reflection, and perfect water drop.
A tad dark... could use some brightening.

Lighting did not harm you at all. This is great!

Craig this is really nice. I agree with sandy and think a little brightening wouldnt hurt here.

Very, very nice, Craig. Talk about a seamless transition from water to BG! Nice pose, very sharp, excellent rendition of colors. Lots to like about this one. No niggles from me.

A lovely image, I especially like the reflection, waterdrop, water mirror and vignette like effect.

I definitely like the second post better. I second all the praise. The only thing that might improve it would be a little lower angle if you could do it without losing the reflection.

Oh my goodness. The large version almost leaves me speechless, it's so perfect. It's perfect... stillness. When I view the large version, I am almost waiting to hear the droplet off his beak hit the water. Very intimate, lovely capture. :toast:
