Solitary Woodruff

Gallery: FloraPosted March 5, 201282 views6 comments

Once again time for one of my occasional visits to the wonderful flora Gallery! This specimen was found growing wild in a lonely littl eout-of-the-way corner of a local arboretum. I decided to have some fun with the processing to move away from the strictly literal image. I hope you like it.

This just steals my heart, love the use of texture and negative space. Love the com and lighting. Beautiful work Jim.

Artful comp and excellent DOF choice for this. The textured background is a perfect match for the softness and subtle colors of the the subject. The vignette adds to the classic feel of this image.

Thank you everyone for the very generous comments.

Lorna Taylor - "This just steals my heart" - This may be the single most heartfelt critique I have ever received. This one comment makes all the work worthwhile. Thank you so much for the affirmation.
