I know this is centered, but I didn't want to cut off the branches. I like the blue sky and the seed pods on the tree. Comments and critiques welcome.

I think the center comp works well here Jerry and I like the pose of the cormorant. I would run some noise reduction on the bg sky. :toast:

I like the pose and the tree perch but go back and forth on the lower branch with the seed pods. I do see noise in the blue sky and agree about running some NR on the background. Nice job in spotting this opportunity.

I agree - the pose is good - he looks a bit arrogant in this position

I would recommend a little more light in the dark areas on the bird.

Nice pose and sharpness. The center comp is fine with me and I also think the scraggly tree and the seed pods make an interesting perch.

I also like the center pose here. You can break the "rules" if it fits the shot. I don't really care for the seed pods as they detract from the bird, but if you cut them out you would cut off some of the bird's tail which would be worse so it is better to leave the comp as is.

I like the coiled neck. Nice head turn and view of the eye. Beak detail is very good. The sky may be a bit too blue and you might try backing off that channel a bit.
