Working on some of my images from our trip to southern Utah last spring. Here is a shot from Zion just as the sun is coming over the mountains. This is combination of three images for exposure. All comments and critiques are welcome and appreciated.

Canon 30D
Sigma 17-70
Aperture Priority
Shutter 1/350
Aperture f8
ISO 320
One image at the camera recommended exposure and two others at +1 1/2 and -1 1/2 exposure comp.
Tripod
Saturation adjustment in PSE9

Beautiful color. I like the light and shadow, particularly since you maintained some detail in even the darkest part of this image.
Nicely done

Richard,

I think the shaded areas need more detail to show through if you are going to present the composition as is. Right now, the shaded areas make up the majority of the frame and there is not much of interest to see in them. Since you did capture a +1.5 exposure, I would expect that you can get more detail in there.
