A handsome bird in a nice pose and the detail is excellent. The colors of the BG and the water match the birds coloration nicely. Nice one!

Point of view looks good and I like the perch. My eye tends to go to the upper right bright area -- maybe burn that down a bit would keep emphasis on the bird

I agree with Scott. Better to have a uniformly dark BG than a brown splotchy one. The bird and pose are good stuff—the upper BG is the weak part of the image.

The setting is pretty typical for dippers, I like it as presented, wouldn't change a thing.

Very nice Cluas, the lighting is interesting with the dark bg setting off the bird nicely.

Very nice. I like the dark on dark. You've got great details in the feathers and preserved the whites too.

Great details, pose, and complimentary setting Claus, I like it.
The Dipper stands out and it's well lit too, nice one!
