Augusta is blooming! This was from the back yard and I have no idea the ID, so all help there would be appreciated. I am showing in a gallery here in Augusta and it has been an adventure. Much more time consuming than I thought, but rewarding at the same time. I had my first sale the second day up, which was a pleasant surprise. These little bloomers were through out our azaleas, so I tried to isolate a few.
D80, 70-300mm @ 185, ISO100, F5 @ 1/20sec, tripod, shutter release.
Thanks in advance for all comments and critique
Bob :wavey:

Bob, I think this is periwinkle...we keep it around the house because it has chemicals that are important is some chemotherapy drugs...but its often pink and more lavender...your image captures the darker purples beautifully

Yes, Vinca periwinkle. This is great shot of it. Good luck with the show, Bob.

I would agree, it's periwinkle. The colour is a beautiful shade. You've done well. I very much like the comp. these guys can be truly prolific and chaotic. I like how you've featured a single bloom but also showed it is not alone with the partial view of the BG bloom.

Might be blooming in your next of the woods but we are expecting some more snow over the next couple of days.

Bob: Nicely done. Normally a partial bloom in the corner of the frame wouldn't work for me but here it is a fine supporting element. 2 thumbs up. >=))>
