A Black-tailed Seagull, I believe... I don't know why this one looked so rough, but it was the only one of the many gulls that were in the area, so it was the most interesting to me. Taken March 13, 2012, Oido wharf, South Korea.

Canon EOS 60D
Lens: Sigma DG 120-400mm 1:4.5-5.6 APO OS HSM
Focal Length: 400m
f/11
Shutter 1/800
ISO 200
HH

Cropped about 50%

From the field marks that are visible, it could very well be a Black-tailed Gull. There was a lot of excitement a few years ago when one of these turned up at St. Lawrence Island in Alaska. I think it has gotten into something it shouldn't have, however. Looks like tough light. Maybe pull down the highlights a bit with the Shadows/Highlights Tool?

Nice detail on the bird in the larger version.
