This is a nice view Howard... great sharpness and exposure in the sunshine. I'm not so sold on the overall presentation though... it seems to lack a focal point, compositionally, and the split frame created isn't the greatest... although more in the small version. It does seem to get better in the larger version, so I wonder if a big print would get me past that?

I love the perspective and depth of this image... goes from the yellows, to the purples to the trees and woods... very nice..

Howard: Ain't it grand that the bonnets are back! Crop at least half of the sky and this is a real winner in my book. Nice yard! >=))>

Howard, let me say your property looks like a great place to shoot or just sit. Those wildflowers are amazing. Lots of flora photo ops there. I like your decision to use a shallow DOF and put the focus on the bluebonnets up front. I am not as sold on the low POV. IMO, this resulted too much sky and a cropped view of the flowers/meadow. I'd raise up and tilt down the camera and get more meadow into the field of view. I'd also explore comps that focus only on the flowers, even panos, but maybe you've done that already.

A wonderful environmental capture Howard. I agree with Bill on the crop.

The flowers are just delightful, especially the Bluebonnets. The repost is a much easier to look at.

The repost is great. It gives the focal point more towards the flowers.
