After a thoroughly dismal 2011 the Texas wildflowers are making a strong comeback in 2012. Got out for a short scouting trip this afternoon and came across a really vibrant stand of paintbrush and bluebonnets backlit in the late sun. I think I'm going to be up early tomorrow! All comments welcome.>=))>

Great image, Bill! The orange of the Paintbrush is standing out perfectly against the blue BG of the Bonnets. :wavey:

Very nice Bill. As mentioned the color contrast with the BG is very nice. You also handled a difficult light very nicely.

Bill.

Very nice, glad you won't be suffering as badly from withdrawal this spring. It's great to lift those heavy weights from your shoulders and flex your creative muscles looking froward to more.

An great subject with an excellent backdrop Bill. I think a bit of a crop from the right and the left would help to take out a couple of distracting elements in the BG.

Vibrant color & the afternoon light looks fab Bill.
I especially like the darker bluebonnet BG with its filtered light, it sets the paintbrush to canvas
Very well done. :toast:

I wish the light on the subject was a tad stronger, but man what a BG. Really nicely composed here Bill!
