Nikon D300, 150mm, F/5.6, 1/200, ISO 400.

We are not supposed to have crocuses here in Canada in March, only in late April! I am so pleased to start this series so early, three more will come. Hope you enjoy, comments appreciated.

Wonderful Albert! Excellent tones and great subjects. Nice job on the POF. Wonderful all around.

That one green sprig of grass/leaf on the right third area is a bit stronger in color than most of the rest of the shot - I might try to tone it down just a bit if you can. Otherwise, it is not a shot killer.

Beautiful, Albert. Love the comp, the lighter exposure, and the detail in the front petals. Every time I think I've seen the best crocus photo, someone posts another candidate for the title. :toast:

Wonderful "ART" Albert. The colors, light and composition make this a "10" in my book.

I like this very much, Albert! Your decision for sharpness in the details I believe is correct.
Excellent DOF choice.

Beautiful spread of crocuses. I know from experience how hard it is to handle the soft blues of this hybrid and you've done a great job.

Exquisite photo. By Canada, though, you must mean someplace other than southwest British Columbia, where the first crocuses bloom around mid-February.

Wow Albert, this is a real beauty! Love the shallow DOF and the good details in the front blooms. Ligthing, colors and comp are all excellent. Can't think of any way to improve it. (Crazy weather, I hope they don't all freeze tonight!)

Early or not, they look like they're doing quite well. Very beautiful capture. I find the right half of the frame more interesting than the left and can see some vertical comps that might be worth exploring. This is quite fine as presented though.

Very pretty frame, Albert. Sorry, have been busy with some personal work and presence on NPN has not been good in the last week or so.

I really like the yellow over purples and how the Crocuses really are composed along a slight diagonal. Cool work.

Lovely shot, Albert. I love the repeating flow of the flowers and the soft overall feel of the shot. Besides that the contrast of orange and purple always worked well for me with crosuses.

Terrific capture here using a great depth of field. If it were possible, but the shot angle doesn't allow it, would to have captured the full yellow stimen on at least one of the flowers.
